Dodge Ram 1500 Death Race
« on: June 30, 2008, 10:08:17 pm »

heres the ram in death race, saw a preview for it today as i was watching "wanted" (walked out half way through, too friggen stupid)

anyways, this is a 2004 5.7 1500 with a 1 ton dually rear axle eh hell heres a copy paste

Engine: 5.7L V8 Hemi
Transmission: 5 speed automatic
Suspension: Rancho 9000 Shocks for front and rear
Firestone Air Bags for front and rear
Custom fabricated rear sway bar
Drivetrain: Removed front axles and front differential
Replaced rear axle with 1 ton dually axle
Wheels: Front- Stock 20" Dodge Ram wheels
Rear- Stock 16" dually wheels
Tires: Front- Stock tires
Rear- Toyo Open Country 265/75R 16
Stunt Modifications: Roll Cage
Sparrco Racing Seats
RCI 5 point harnesses

While the 5.7L hemi and 5-speed automatic are stock, the drivetrain has endured some pretty drastic mods: the truck was converted back to 2wd, a 1-ton dually rear axle was swapped in, and it's running 16-inch dually wheels in the rear and 20's up front. The suspension's also had some tweaking, including Rancho 9000 shocks and Firestone airbags all around.
RCI fuel cell
Tildon secondary hydraulic brake system
Battery moved to battery box in trunk

Damn Dude, those fender mounted gat-gat guns are killer.  Maybe ole Fletch over in Zimbabwe would be interested in a make over like that.  :gunsmilie:

I like the ram head. I've always wanted to get a few rams (yeah that's the only thing I'd like to trophy hunt) Texas dahl, audads and what's really sick looking is Jacobs ram. In Texas you dig a hole, cut the head off, drop it in the hole, pour honey on it and come back a week or 2 later and the ants will have scraped it clean.

there's a mustang (Jason statham) which is the main veh. They say it has twin 30mm guns but it looks at most .30 cal. Either way still looks pretty cool.
Movie will prolly come out end of summer

Looks pretty cool, but that sure is alot of weight for a 4.7 to be pullin around. It would have been less trouble to get a 3500 gasser than to build up that 1500.

I would have thought they'd use a 2500 or 3500 rather the 1500. Seems like alot of extra work. It is cool looking though.
