New MSD System
« on: July 06, 2008, 08:56:27 pm »
Was in advance the other day, manager gave me 75% off some discontiued items. 3 of em just so happened to be a MSD 6al ignition system and a blaster 2 coil and some accel 8mm wires.

got the msd for $60, the coil for $15 and the wires for yes... $10.

Man the difference i noticed... my truck finally has a "pull" at 3000 rpm. I HIGHLY recommend this. Installion was a piece of cake.

left old coil there just incase, installed the blaster coil inline with the msd ignition system.

farely straight forward install, just cut wires and solder them.

did some cleaning today, engine looks brand new. Even rivals silvers (for yall that know who he is).

I'm afraid to ask how long it took.  If it rivals silvers it's got to be pretty damn clean. Any pics?

it took all day, mainly because i ran into a mounting issue with the coil. Other than that, pretty strait forward.

Ill have new pics today, gotta get some fresh ones for TOTM.

O' yeah, I know Silver .......all too well!  :gunsmilie:

Good job on the install, though you say it was simple, have you considered doing a DIY write up?

Any and all information that helps anyone out is what makes these forums here great. Glad that you're a part of it.
