As many of you have noticed while the hood is up there is a sticker pointing at the front drive shaft about a grease point. this only applies to the 05 and on 4x4's.

The Double Cardan joint has a needle point grease fitting that needs to be lubed every 4K miles and hopefully this will help ya'll out.

This is the grease fitting that you'll need.

Great Pix.  But on my 2006 I have looked and looked -- even printed off the pic and took it under the truck with me.  I am positive I am looking at the right place - double u-joint rear of the front drive shaft.  But I can't find the lube point anywhere.  My truck does have the sticker that tells me to lube the front drive shaft.  Arguably I am old and half blind but I'm either missing something or its just not there.  Can you provide further advice?

It's there Trust Me, I have greased it 3 times since i got mine, and I still have to look for it. it is just a little indent, it does not stick out like a regular grease zerk

Well. I found this little pointy thing at the auto parts store and it makes it really, really, really easy to get grease in that fitting. Its an 18 gauge needle and fits right in that hole. I would recommend it over that other adapter. One thing to remember about the needle though is it does not take kindly to being bent...

Dhamblet.

I still have trouble finding the fitting and usually have to take a towel a clean up in the joint  as it gets hidden by the dirt.

Ok, where did you find this critter?  Do you happen to have a part number?

I found the blasted fitting but I am not sure if I actually got any grease in it or just all around it with the needle adapter from NAPA.

I found this one at Advance Auto Parts and I dont have a part number. I did find it in the section right beside the tubes of grease and all the assorted fittings for grease guns. Thats about the best I can do on this one.
