One Year and one week later
« on: April 16, 2009, 03:32:15 pm »
53 weeks ago I brought my boy home from the dealer and started my time on the road

I can't believe it's been a year already!!

So this morning I'm tootling into work and tripped 4K on the ODO

Considering the longest 'road trip' on the bike I've taken was only 300 miles 97% of those miles were earned in 40 mile chunks to and from the office.  I'm never gonna earn an iron butt award this way but hey that's a piss load more than lots of folks put down in a year

Honestly, they're pretty inexpensive for what you get. he goa a fully loaded Vision with all of the bells and whistles ( power window, heated grips and seat, stereo yada yada yada ) and I think he paid about 18K for it, although he's selling his old one to offset the cost ( rather than trade it in )

For a similar bike from Harley, you'd spend 28K and it STILL wouldn't have all of the bells and whistles.

Those Visions are NICE touring bikes for sure !!

WhooHoo!  Your making me feel bad now. I gotta get mine together. Unfortunately its not in the budget yet. I remember when I bought my '87 hugger. Got it in the end of April, parked it in November. Tallied up 7,600 miles. Man, I loved that bike.

I MAY BE OLD, BUT I GOT TO SEE ALL THE GOOD BANDS.....
