AWESOME write up Rich !! :punk:

I'm curious as to why you didn't take the time to paint your calipers while you had them off? Weren't you thinking about doing that before?

As always ... thanks for taking the time brotha !!

Quite honestly, I was just happy to have this one done and didn't want to mess with the calipers.

I'll do them eventually, that's an easy one.

Rich takes no chances of his wheels falling off   :tt2:

What I actually do to achieve that torque spec is get another CTD to back up to the side of my truck, disconnect it's drvieshaft and then use it to tighten the lug nuts....

 ;D

Great write up Rich!

Would this be the same process for a 1500 4x4?  I need to do the same thing on mine.

Thanks,

Essentially the same process, although the torque specs and some of the fastener sizes are different.

The axle nut only goes to 185 ft/lbs and the upper ball joint is 40 ft/lbs, lower ball joint is press fit.

Also, the 1500's only have 3 bolts holding the wheel bearing to the knuckle.
