Rebuilding the Wolverine
« on: June 24, 2009, 05:52:04 am »
As some of you may remember I wrecked my 07 Wolverine pretty bad a couple of months back.  Well I am finally getting around to fixing it.  I need a frame, lower left A-arm, and a left front wheel.  Anyone know of a good place to get some deals on parts?

I can imagine that your list is going to be pretty pricey with that frame being in there

Actually through the dealer I have a total of around $600.00.  I have a spare set of plastics to use and instead of buying a factory wheel I may by some XD wheels because I can buy 4 of them for almost the same price as one factory one.

I don't know what to do.  I can't decide on what wheels to order.

Which ones do you think?

I agree - the spike shape on the spokes really matches with the spikey look of the front cowling and fenders

Will look bad azz!

Not to to make it easy and go with everyone else, but i do like the 3rd ones also!

To be honest, i would even put them on my truck if they had a few more holes ;D

Thanks everyone for your opinions!  I like the 3rd ones as well but didn't know if salt in the winter would eat up the machined part.  Thats why I was starting to lean towards the first one because if I had to I could repaint them and they wouldn't look bad.  What do you think?  Will the salt affect them that much?

Clear-coat them before you install them, and that should keep most of the salt, etc off of them

A good cleaning after every ride would help too

It always gets a good thorough cleaning after every ride!  I try not to let my things get beat up.  Or at least not too bad.
