If you're seeing 3.93 out of the PCM, that's OK (I think - don't remember the exact spec, but know it's like 3.85 to 4.0 or something like that)

Have you ohmed out the harness from the PCM to the sensor?  Check for shorts and opens

If that's ok, I'd suspect the sensor itself

otherwise, it's the PCM

I have even changed the sensor its what my boss started complaining about if I changed it yet I said yes I did swap it out... One thing I'm having trouble with is Michele software that we have at work it says the connector to the PCM is black number 33 and that wire is brown....

So I checked that but the wire is not brown for that number 33 the connector pin number 33 is empty on the black connector ...
their is 3 other connectors are green orange and white... I think that is where I am having trouble

so I wasn't able to do a ohm test because I never really could figure out where the exact wire is located .. I know its brown and number 33 on the connector.... but since the Black connector number 33 is empty I started to check the other connectors but with no luck on number 33 pin on any other connectors ( white, orange, or green) Also if I am reading it correctly if your looking at the PCM the bottom Rt pin is number 10 I just counted up from there to get to 33... I also can barely see that number 10 since its on the computer... mounted in the truck..

Also the max volts from what I am reading is 1.5 volts per On Demand  Michell software that belongs to the shop I am working at... If you ask me Aldata is a lot better it will tell you and show the connector where it is in referance on the plug...Thanks for you help But if I can't figure this out in the morning I'm just going to tell the customer he is going to have to take it to the dealer and let them hook a DRBIII to it and they can tell right away what is wrong Hopefully.. Only thing I can think of its in the wiring or the PCM is fried from the check engine light being on for three months...
I have check the power supply to the heater on the O2 sensor and there is none...
I seen the that the fuse box has a spot for a O2 sensor heater BUT that is for 8.0 engines only... it gets its power from the  ASD power relay That is a Fuse

Also the ASD fuse is good checked it several times and installed a new fuse just in case.. I did find one fuse that is popped it was for the cig lighter.. Maybe I can still charge him for the 5 hours of repair LOL no i can't do that...
I checked all grounds and the ground with at the O2 sensor all is good... I did some thinking about this..
Can you get the wires crossed with bank one and two.. Although I never took the harness out.. What if someone else did.. I am so worried about bank 2 when I unplugged the 2/2 sensor I never looked to see what the other ones was doing at that time

The test I was doing was start truck run for 5 minutes and then see what the o2 sensor reads lower then 1.5 volts
Yes replace O2 sensor
no go to step two NO it was at 3.9

unplug sensor and then start engine o2 sensor higher then 1.5 volts
yes go to step three
no (do something i forgot what it was) but it was yes it was at 4.2

then ohm out wire #33  Well I never could really find wire #33 so I checked all plugs With no luck of finding it...

So I moved to the ASD fuse and stuff I guess I will back up to finding the correct wire and plug in the morning.. But I have a boss that Wont stay off my  :censored: back I'd like to tell him to get the  :censored: out and leave me alone..

Tommy

I'm sending you some e-mails on this...

:mail:
I got them that Helps a lot.. on thing I see wrong is... Mitchel on demand is totally different procedure. for checking that O2 sensor... And the Heater wire that Mitchel stated is number 33 black connector  While Alldata is saying its number 10 White connector... and the heater control is number 17 in the orange connector...
IDK I spent time with it today checking everything.. I took off the old O2 sensor and put the new one on again and its not the sensor somewhere the wires is broken or the computer is having trouble powering the O2 sensor....... I will ohm those wires in the morning and go from there
I noticed in the email that the connectors are for NGC engine... Would that still be the same??
Thanks for you help Tom It sure does help out a lot...

No idea what NGC on those means...

It's not Natural Gas (that would be CNG)

there are only two engines listed - used the 5.7L

I got it.  the wires at the back of the Engine are in a hard plastic molding.. Well instead of them being tied together with tape or wire ties they was just tossed in there and a few wires was sticking out the side well I found a few that was corroded because the wire casing was cut... But thanks for everyone's help... I knew that I could rely on DOF to help me out.... And kilch thanks for the wiring diagram it did help out.. Once I ohm tested the wire I need and nothing was there.. I had to repair the short....

On a better note today after the Readiness tests was completed I took the Truck for Emissions and it past with Flying colors... While the owner of the truck is HAPPY... He bought his Dad's ford Windstar for me to work on SOB
