Very Niiiiiice! How Muuuch?....



for a little diesel cocktail.....



I was feeling like the Mad Scientist hadn't been let out for a little while, I decided to try a little concoction.

This is a 90% water / 10% Methyl Alcohol mix. The fluid was 21% Meth, but I cut it with distilled water as I wanted to start it on the low side.

I am definitely diggin' it.

Stage 1 doesn't really do anything but hold the EGT's. It hit 850* and stopped until I added more throttle, but there was no noticeable power increase.

Stage 2 I could feel, slightly. It hit 1000*, Stage 2 fired and the temps held at 1050. But I could definitely feel when 2 stages were firing.

I never got to Stage 3.....yet. I was already doing close to 90 when I backed out.

What else is in the windshield washer fluid though? Wouldn't it be wiser to get some straight methanol to mix your drink with?

Nothing but 79% distilled water, 21% methanol and a little coloring.

I even pulled up the MSDS just to make sure.
