I heard Cummins has plenty of engines. ;D

If they're willing to donate one, I'll gladly use it as a test mule.

It is setup for water.

Hence, why I'm starting off with a very mild 10% mix.

I still want it for the intended purpose, cooling EGT's so I can run more fuel.

What I'm messing with is timing and using the mix to be able to run as much timing and duration as possible and not have detonation and presure spikes.

I'm doing a little ...............experimenting.

I really hope you don't trash your engine that would suck, of course you would just build it stronger.

While I've not ran water/meth, the optimal power mix I've read is 51/49 respectively.  I've heard a many of people simply use the straight washing fluid in them.  Course that's a lower ratio, but much safer.  Thanks for posting up your findings.  It seems the injection really only causes the EGT's to pause.

The higher concentration works good if you are realy looking for it as a power adder. I'm not so much looking for it as power adder as I am the cooling effects so that I can run more timing and duration and not have detonation issues.

The biggest problem with running it in a concentration that high is the cylinder pressure spikes. With as much boost as I'm pushing and the fact that the alcohol has a flash point of like 120*, I don't wanna throw it in there and have detonation issues. That's why I'm running such a low concentration right now.

Each tank I'm gonna bump it up by 5% concentration until I see something I don't like.

I've got an AquaMist system on my car and run the washer fluid staight.  I don't notice a lot of increased power but I can turn the boost up and egt's stay well under control.  If you live in a hot weather climate these are great for summer time.

The water / meth by itself, the way I have it set, is not gonna be much of a power adder.

What it will do is allow me to turn the Edge up and run that. That's my main use for the water is to control EGT and act as a retardant to detonation from timing/boost/rail pressure.

My dyno numbers are using the Smarty alone, I didn't use the Edge at all on the 700+ runs.

From the previous runs, when I turn the Edge up, I have appox 40 - 60 more HP on tap.

So, we'll see how it goes.

Main thing is keeping the EGT's and detonation in check.
