The aftermarket injectors have much cleaner nozzle holes and can atomize better.

MUST you push buttons Rich?

Well .... sad to say, but I hooked up my smoke switch, and I'm still not able to shut down any intersections.  :down:

Did I mabe splice into the wrong wires? I found the wires from the Edge that correspond to the wires to the MAP plug ( white and green ) and I tapped them. Should I have instead tapped into the wires that go to the MAP sender itself maybe?

Here are some pics ...

Here's a small addition for those that are running a boost fooler or stand alone box.

You must bypass those devices and send a signal strait to the ECM from the MAP.

Otherwise, you're fooling device actually LOWERS the signal to the ECM and this defeats the purpose of the switch.

I think I may have screwed it up ... ( actually I'm sure that I did )

What I spliced into was the wires that corresponded directly to the wires that were on the MAP plug. I'll try and draw it to show you what I mean.

Ok, hopefully it worked

M = MAP sensor in block

EM = Edge MAP plug ( comming form Edge )

E = Edge

EP = Edge Plug that now goes onto the original MAP plug

MP = the original MAP plug that used to go on the MAP

S = Smoke Switch

The wire colors are a little off, but you get the basic idea. I tapped into the wires comming from the Edge that I think corresponded to the wires came off of the original MAP plug.

Do you get what I did, or do I hafta explain it further?

Thanks for all of your help !! :up:

Yup, you did.

You need to tap the ORANGE 5V before it goes to the Edge and then tap the Signal Wire going TO the ECM AFTER it comes out of the EDGE.

Are you talking abou the orange wire comming from the original plug?

If so, tht aint gonna happen. It's factory wrapped pretty much up to the end, and it's a B**CH to get to !!

 :helpsmilie: I was just wondering what resistor would be the safest? I know you said 10 ohm or 33 ohm but as far as brand and type? Also what is the best way of wiring it in to the switch and where should I do it? Someone please help!!!!! I am new to the forum and to diesels. Thank you.
