Back in a Neon again
« on: October 31, 2013, 03:00:49 pm »
Kelly's minivan had started to give us problems with the computer.  Apparently Ford issued a service notice about rain water leaking in front of the wiper cowl and getting to the computer.  But it started to short out and since it was a service notice and not a recall, we had to flip the bill for the computer.  Instead, found a 2003 SXT in Quakertown, PA with 47K miles for $5k.  Took the van up there last night and even with the computer shorting out, nearly 105K miles and a stained interior (comes with hauling 3 kids), they still gave us $2500 trade in.  She likes my Liberty so much, she's gonna be driving it while I get the Neon.  Only thing I don't like is it's an automatic, first auto Neon I've ever owned.  But the body looks like it just rolled off the assembly line.

Now to find a decent gen1 5-speed for a play toy.
