In tank Pump Mod
« on: June 07, 2009, 04:03:03 am »
ok so here is how to make your in tank pump into a 90 gph and 25psi unit...
this is what your in tank unit looks like...

take the green line and remove it and replace it with high pressure submersable 1/2 inch line and 2 hose clamps... and the red line that is circled you can either discard or leave disconnected at the bottom its just the return line anyways

just trying to help you guys out instead of buying a AirDog or Fass you can do this to get by till you get around to getting one

How does doing this change the output of the pump?

the little clear line is a large restriction and replacing it with 1/2 inch line make the gph increase

Did someone measure the output of the stocker with a bigger line to come up with those #'s?

I guess you gotta drop the tank for this huh?

I wonder if I would get any more smoke by doing this :burn:

I like the sounds of this mod. Few questions though. What does removing the return line do? Anyone know what this will do o the life of the pump? ie more flow = more amps = dead pump.
