Title: Special Tools Wanted / Available
Post by: Cumminalong on April 17, 2009, 01:22:44 am
Folks, if you have one of those off the wall tools that rarely get used, but can a be a project life saver and you are willing to make it available, post up here.

Also, if you are looking for one of those tools that might be a one time use item, ask here and see if anyone has it.

Another thing we can do is look at purchasing a couple of "community" tools. Things like a valve spring compressor, dial indicators, ball joint press, inch/lb screw & nut drivers, etc.

Please try to keep this thread on topic so it's not a PITA to search guys.

Let's see...

I have tap and die sets and injector hold down tools.

Otherwise, I just have a ton of normal tools.

It would be better for you to ask for the tool here, and then we can chime in with availability.

I've got about every tool needed to take one of our vehicles apart, and put it back together (guess I'm like the mechanic equivalent of the military 'geer queer'  8))

And, I just found out that the FEDEX cargo terminal (3.5 miles from work) will accept packages until 21:00 for shipment anywhere in the US the following day!!

Haha, figures I would see this AFTER I removed my door emblems last weekend.  No big deal, they were a breeze anyway.  I like the idea of this thread though :)
