V6 "fipk" kit
« on: December 22, 2008, 04:35:22 am »
Sorry i don't have pics, this truck was totaled out a couple years ago.  I looked for a while for a fipk kit for a 99 3.9 V6, the v8's relly didn't fit and i was able to make one for about $70.  I fot a rubber 3-3 pluming conection, a 3 45 abs (black pvc), and about 12-15 in of 3 in black abs pipe.  The k&n filter is the same that is in the v8 kit, or look up a 3.5 inlet on the filter. I am doing this all form memory, so the sizes may be off.  You still you the carb hat, or with the size on the hose conector on there.  I got better MPG, and throdle responce. another cheap hp trick is to find a wrecked 5.9 sport and swap the throdle body, i did this later and noticed a big difference.
