Need some advice on hollowing a precat
« on: August 02, 2010, 03:26:42 pm »
I suspect that my car's precat converter is clogged, and I'm looking to hollow it out. How much time/what difficulty is the job? The car is Suzuki Aerio '04

Some told me that I have to take off the heatsink/remove manifold/risk breaking rusty nuts. Others told me to just poke holes in it with a screwdriver.

What are my options?

Best thing to do is remove it, cut it in half, pull the BS out and weld it back up.

Punching holes in it is gonna leave crap that is gonna get caught in and plug up the cat.

Sounds like a fun project. Time to buy some tools...
