Coolant Leak
« on: December 16, 2010, 12:33:09 am »
Ok so I have recently developed a coolant leak, I am 90% positive it is coming from where the hose goes to the engine above the a/c condenssor and below the alternator.  Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this.  I havent had a chance to get to the area yet.  I was wondering if it was a clamp, hose or a head gasket leak.  I hope its just a clamp! :banging:

Are you sure the water pump didn't crack?  On my old '01 the pump cracked but would only leak when it was hot.
You can't fix stupid

No I am not sure, I am hoping when I take it apart tomorrow I find that it is somthing other than a head gasket problem.

It was the water pump it was leaking from the little hole that is in the back not sure what that was for, but the new one does not have that and I do not have a leak anymore. Replaced the pump, the belt, and coolant.  Should be good for a while now.
