Just taking a break to clean up, have a beer and post pics of my new best friend.......the Top Side Creeper.
This thing is friggin great. Holds up easily to my 210 lb azz and makes it SO much more comfortable to work on the top end of the truck.
I've only used my little stool today to undo the nut on the back of the intake horn, otherwise all the work has been on this thing.
It took about 45 minutes to assemble with a couple of metric wrenches and a phillips head screwdriver.
If you are doing a one time project, it's a little pricey, but if you are gonna do a lot of under hood work, this thing is GOLD!
Here's a few pics. I didn't take a ton pulling the injectors, as I've already posted a crap load of those in the DIY section.....

Rich, you better not scratch that thing. Walt won't be happy if you break it in before he gets a chance to use it.

Hey Kenny, you musta missed this post......
:punk:
Well, Mr Walt surprised me today and sent me a message explaining the ownership of said Top Side Creeper.
He proceeded to explain that because I wouldn't let him pay me for the work we'll be doing on his truck, that he was contributing to the Little Shop of Horrors.
At first I wanted to kick his azz for even offering that, but after using the thing, I wasn't gonna give it back anyways.
;D
Thanks buddy! Ya really didn't have to do that.

Hey Kenny, like I told Rich......I just wanted to pay it forward for all the help that he's offer to me, at at the right time for his project as well.
Thanks Kenny for expediting the shipment. It was right on time!

Nuthin' but love for ya, brotha!

If ya'll are serious about getting one..........Rich has the foldable model. It's evident that it easily supported our weight, but can be folded down to a smaller size for storage.
Just a thought there.

I only list the Foldable because the Non-Foldable is not much cheaper and cost more to ship do to it's size.

Alright finally something to add here.
When this thing came I thought Holy Ballz is this heavy. 74 lbs shipping weight.
Then I opened it up and saw the generic writing on the inner box and thought damnit this thing is Chinese. I had no idea it was made in China. I probably wouldn't have ordered it if I known prior.

My doubts were quickly put to rest though. This thing is well designed. All the holes were perfectly aligned. The powder coat was perfect and very stout. It adjusts easily and folds nicely. It uses lock nuts on every fastener. All of the fasteners are decent size and stout. Everything was there. I assembled it with ease in about 20 minutes.
The only small issues I had were
1. they have 2 phillips screws that hold the pad on. They are in a piece of c channel frame and it is just about impossible to get a screw driver on it. I boogered the heck out of the heads on them.
2. The instructions looked like Who Flung Poo photocopied a photocopy about 76,000 times and were very blurry and hard to read.
This product is definately worth the money though. Less than $3/lb. ;D

One comment that I've read elsewhere is that after prolonged use, the pad support looses it's density and flattens out. That could always be corrected at some point in time, but over all......I'm impressed with it.
