DOF flamingo: Fling Migrations Part III
« on: August 06, 2014, 10:30:43 pm »
FLIGHT PATH

Mayfair - PA
lilfroger - WA
Jakebrake - WA
Kenz - MI
JetNoise - MI
Methos - ID
Verrucktwolf - MD
NoPlugs - GA
1970496STChevelle - AL
Jims1dodge - TX

For those of you who have not yet been introduced to the flings sit back and enjoy the following...
Way back in 2008 .. Mayfair was posting pictures of his flamingo's on his Harley and as threads do around here it derailed.  The idea got kicked around to send them to each member and have pictures taken.  Mayfair got Fling1 and Fling2 and off they went.

When they were new little babes-

After much traveling and abuse-

The Flings have traveled through DOF members ever since. They have been all over the US, into Canada, and even over to the Middle East!

Their history has been recorded here on DOF
http://www.dodgeownerforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=3290.0

So we are going to do Migration Part III

How does it all work?

If you want to spend some quality time (we ask you keep visits to two weeks or less please) with Fling1 and Fling2 post in this thread your city / state (if not US post that also please).  Then PM me an exact mailing address.

To try and keep shipping costs to a minimum for everyone I organize them based on location not first post first ship.

I'll post up a migration path as I've gotten a few submissions.  The list is fluid and name can be injected at any time ... so check back!

When your turn is up on the rotation I'll PM you the address of the person you'll be sending them too.

Once you've got the Flings go play tourist in your neighborhood.  We want to see them doing the things you do every day or seeing the attractions in your area!  Grab the blackest permanent marker you can find and sing a Fling (if you've already signed it once put a mark next to your original to show you've had them again).  Then mail them onto the next one.

Several people during previous migrations have added 'treats' to the shipping box.  This is not required of course, but it has been great fun for each and everyone of us to open the box & see all the special items from other members!  So if you're so inclined please do; but try to be mindful that shipping costs are based on weight ... so no lead bars or anything

OK OK I owe each and everyone of you an apology!! The flings have been here entirely to long.  The world went crazy hectic on me the last few months...I haven't been able to keep up with anything. I'm so sorry guys!!!

But they are out and flying to Jake's now.
