I hate road salt >:(  The magnesium chloride MgCl2 is worse than regular NaCl.  More ions in soln equals more rust and >:(

Move to oklahoma, most of the state uses Sand or a misture of Sand/Salt.  But it sucks because we get it from a deposit up in Kansas and last year our little town ran out and wasn't able to get more till this winter.

As far as my break lines I see no problems with them and I just had my bed off 3 months ago putting my Airdog on.

Just a question. Did anyone think of Herculining the new brake lines before they installed it to combat the salt on the roads? Just a thought. Might give the line a little extra life.

Brake lines are a common thing on just about any type of vehicle here in the north.  However, Chrysler products seem to be the worst.  My Jeep has 160,000 miles on it (and is 16 years old), on the original lines.  The rear looks pretty rusty, but im hoping it holds until I do the rear end swap.

What size are the lines on our trucks? I see a few diffrent sizes. I'm pretty ok with bending tubing so I may give it a shot if I get a free weekend soon.

3/16" is the size, and on my QCLB, I needed two 6 foot pieces, and a short piece (like 8") to make the run

Stacks??? I have a gasser, as much as I'd love them I don't think they really look right on gas truck. Me and the g/f looked at the new ctd's but decided that we want to buy a house soon so I'll be driving my truck for a couple years longer. Where did you get your brakes from?

All the lines on my truck are painted and look great with the exception of the one behind the tank.  I just haven't gotten the motivation to change it out yet and it isn't nearly close to being rusted through but I like to be proactive!

When we do new lines at our garage we will either undercoat them with a rust proofing or use some other good paint.  Seems to make them last a little longer and protects them from the salt.
