The problem with this deal is the retail gets jacked up right before they offer the buy 3 get 1 and then comes back to normal immediately after. Price difference amazingly enough comes out within dollars of the normal price for 4 tires....
A year or so ago when I did mine I got lucky to find a shop that did not increase the price during it, but it was the only shop I found that hadn't jacked up the prices.

Actually, the pricing works out well.
The price you pay for the tires during the sale is actually BELOW what they cost me when the sale isn't going on.
For the Xtreme AT's above, at $265.99 each the total comes out to $797.97.
797.97 / 4 (# of tires) = $199.49 each.
That's actually bit BELOW what they cost me normally.

Yeah, Rich... I was not trying to imply anything regarding your intentions on this. I was just pointing out that there are, shall we say less than scrupulous dealers out there -- at least in my area -- that the "sale" pricing of paying for 3 tires was within 10 bucks of buying 4 right both before and immediately after the sale. And in one specific instance the sale was actually higher prices.
Only was trying to point out that if anyone is trying to get in on the sale at a dealer that they don't know and trust that some research may be in order.
Apologies if that came across as anything negative against you or any of the other DOF vendors. It was posted before I looked at what section I was in.
