My partner Tom is the gas guy; the man's a genius with gas motors.

If it's old school gas muscle, he can crank the power out of it.

Engine, trans, suspension, fab......whatever.

A little update as well.....

The cooling system is now plumbed, the wastegate and BOV are installed, just waiting on the new carb.

Gotta move the master cylinder and redo the brake lines due to the exhaust routing.

Need to pull the trans out and replace the 3rd gear clutch packs.

After that, it's all the wiring and it gets buttoned back up.

Yup, sure do, but this thread is titled, "The Chevelle is getting closer to completion"

:ph:

I mean, how many pictures can I post of stuff like, "Hey! Here's a another truck getting an intake" or "Here's another truck getting an exhaust" or "Bobby got a Smarty".

That's common stuff. It's not like I'm doing twins and nitrous everyday.

;D

It's funny I was just down my buddies shop yesterday getting my truck inspected. He's going a different route. He's FINALLY ditching his carb and going injected. What also surprised me though was to hear that he's gonna now put a blower on it. I swear he likes working on his ride more than he likes driving it

Fabrication is done.

 :cho:

Tomorrow everything comes out, all the welding will be done, motor and trans will come out, trans will get torn apart and have the clutch packs redone.

By the time the carb is here, it'll be buttoned back up and ready to fire.

:wait:

That is how it was for me in High School. Still is to this day. I love digging into things. On the weekends when I am home, I would take things apart just because. Can't wait to do that again.  :(

So, the pictures above were yesterday.......here's some from today.

We removed the front of the car and pulled the motor and trans......

Engine on the stand.....

Put the necessary piping in place so we could see where the oil return line is going to be plumbed into the oil pan. All the final welding will get done this week and everything will get ground down and polished before all the piping gets sent out for Jet Hot coating.

The trans is out and on the bench so that it can get new seals and new clutch packs.

It's getting there.

It'll certainly be up and running for the G2G.

Can't wait to see what it really puts down on the Eric and Emily's dyno.
